Our World, My Story

Hi-I'm Chris Pailas, the face behind Pailas Media Photography-and I'm thrilled you're here. What started as a hobby and passion project has become a reality, now being a full time event photographer and company owner at the age of 23 years old.

Dating back to Ironia Elementary School, my passion for photography struck while waiting in line for back to school portraits. I was a social person growing up, so it was something about my curiosity for the familiar faces and all the lights. Fast forward to my college years studying at Union College and Lehigh University, I took a photography class and later reconnected with an old friend-who coincidentally happened to be the founder and president of the photography club-and I believe, after him, I finally began seeing the world with a broader perspective.

Upon graduating with four years bettering my composition, doing part time freelance work, and shadowing other professional photographers around The Lehigh Valley and New Jersey, I was fortunate enough to break into the real industry, working for the needs of large professional service firms as of the night 2/27/25. Soon after, I began working with families that felt there was that one special occasion coming up. Yes, ALL of which began with a passion.

But what does this actually mean?

Despite the craft once just feeling like a calling, it now feels like a moral obligation. This means delivering on a single promise for you or your organization: Showing up, and doing what I say I'm going to do.
